In recognition of World Mental Health Day, celebrated globally on October 10, Kenna Partners recently organized an engaging Escape Room activity for firm members. This team-building exercise not only fostered comradeship and collaboration among employees but also served as a meaningful way to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, especially in a demanding profession.
The Escape Room challenge, held across the Lagos and Abuja office of the firm, presented participants with a unique opportunity to work together, put their problem-solving skills to test, and experience the thrill of overcoming obstacles in a controlled environment.
Participants were divided into teams and tasked with navigating through meticulously designed rooms, solving clues, and achieving the objectives in a short time. The competitive yet collaborative nature of the activity encouraged team members to utilise their observation skills, communicate amongst themselves and enhance team bonding.
Commenting on the significance of the initiative, the firm’s Sustainability & Development Manager, Funmilayo Adeshina, stated: “This initiative is in keeping with the firm’s tradition of organising staff-centered activities that promote wellbeing, teamwork, and mental health awareness. The Escape Room challenge provided a fun and engaging platform for our employees to step away from their daily routines, bond with colleagues, and reflect on the importance of maintaining a healthy mind and work-life balance.”
