In pursuit of its ongoing commitment to advance education and community development, Kenna Partners, recently conducted a Back-2-School event for students of the Okesuna Junior High School, Lagos. The multifaceted event, organised in collaboration with the AIFA Reading Society was aimed at supporting and inspiring young learners while equipping them with the requisite tools for success.
The event featured debate sessions among JSS3 and JSS2 students with the topics carefully selected to stimulate critical thinking while preparing them for public speaking. The debates were followed by an insightful career talk session anchored by the firm’s Associate, Chidera Mbaogu, who informed the learners of different career pathways while encouraging them to not limit their dreams to their environment and aspire for greater heights.
The highlight of the event, however, was the quiz competition that saw the students showcase their academic prowess and breadth of their knowledge of various subjects. The quiz stimulated friendly competition and teamwork among the students.
The firm rounded off activities by distributing school supplies and other essential learning activities to the students to aid their academic endeavours.
Commenting on the initiative, the Sustainability & Development Manager at Kenna Partners, Funmilayo Adeshina stated: “As an organisation committed to social impact, we are excited to positively impact the lives of these young individuals and empower them to reach their full potential. It is our hope that days such as today inspire these kids to focus on their academics and pursue their dreams of being leaders in their respective professions.”
