Relevant Experience
- Provided legal representation to an indigenous entertainment company in a dispute with one of Nigeria’s foremost musicians.
- Representation of one of the top six International Oil Companies (IOCs) in the 1998, 2010, 2012 and 2014 IDOHO- Q.I.T Pipeline Oil Spill Litigation disputes involving about 5,000 claims at the many divisions of the Federal High Court and Court of Appeal sitting in different states of the country.
- Representation of the Federal Government in lawsuits over the Concession of the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
- Advised on the Establishment of a Commercial Bank in Nigeria, drafting and reviewing legal and governance documents essential for its formation and operation.
- Advised a sovereign pension fund backed private equity company in setting up a Real Estate Investment Trust in Nigeria.
- Successfully defended blue-chip financial institutions in significant disputes involving breach of the banker-customer relationship.
- Has provided company secretarial services to Nigerian and foreign companies, as well as incorporated societies.
- Worked with a team of lawyers to facilitate the settlement of a ₦49 billion dispute between two of the biggest corporate entities in Nigeria.
