Amarachukwu represents both domestic and international clients in Superior Courts of record across Nigeria. Amarachukwu is an integral member of the legal team handling high-stakes litigation, such as representing the Federal Government of Nigeria in lawsuits concerning undeclared crude oil shipments, which amounted to $12.7 billion in claims. Her ability to navigate the intricate legal landscape and provide strategic advice has been instrumental in advancing her clients’ positions in these critical matters.
Amarachukwu’s expertise is especially evident in complex disputes involving significant financial stakes, such as her involvement in representing 21 commercial banks in a unique and challenging case against the Nigerian tax authorities, addressing allegations of non-compliance with the Personal Income Tax Act of 2011. Additionally, Amarachukwu is a key member of the legal team representing the Nigerian Apex Bank in a lawsuit concerning foreign exchange transactions and the alleged policy-driven devaluation of the naira.
In addition to litigation, Amarachukwu provides advisory services on complex legal matters. She has advised top IOCs on the applicability and compliance with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria’s Code of Corporate Governance, as well as offering legal insights on multi-million Naira lawsuits related to environmental and contract law.

- Representation of a leading telecommunications company in anti-competition disputes within the Nigerian Telecommunications market; and providing strategic legal defense on the environmental impact of Base Transceiver Stations.
- Representation of twenty-one (21) commercial banks in Nigeria, in an unconventional and complex dispute against the tax authorities in Nigeria, on the alleged non-compliance with the Nigerian Personal Income Tax Act, 2011.
- Representation of the Nigerian Apex Bank in a lawsuit bordering on the purchase of foreign exchange by a company and an alleged deliberate policy of devaluation of the naira against the US Dollars by the Apex Bank.
- Representation of the Federal Government of Nigeria in different lawsuits before the Federal High Court of Nigeria, bordering on the non-declaration, by major International Oil Companies (IOCs), of about 57 million barrels of crude oil shipped out of Nigeria between 2011 and 2014, with aggregate claims of about 12.7 billion United State Dollars ($12,700,000,000).
- Represented a leading beverage firm in Nigeria in relation to an alleged breach of contract claim, with an aggregate claim of about 500,000,000 Naira (Five Hundred Billion Naira)
- Represented the Federal Government of Nigeria in the landmark Nigerian Naira redesign suits against the Attorneys-General of different States in Nigeria
- Advised on the legal procedures and implications of large mergers and acquisitions in respect of a proposed corporate acquisition and merger between two major corporate bodies in the food and agricultural sector in Nigeria.
- Represented a State Government in Nigeria in challenging an Arbitral Award of 900,000,000 Naira (Nine Hundred Billion Naira) and a Garnishee Order Absolute, unduly obtained against the State Government.
- Drafted robust legal processes, briefs of arguments, legal opinions and other legal documents on behalf of a major IOC on alleged series of oil spills and gas flaring involving about 5000 claims across Courts in Nigeria.
- Drafted robust legal processes, briefs of arguments, legal opinions, and other legal documents on behalf of clients on banking and finance, FOREX practices, land ownership, enforcement of contracts, arbitration, etc.
- Conducted profound research, in respect to multi-million Naira suits, on the burden on proof placed on a litigant when bringing an action on gas flaring and oil spill.
