The Legal History Society of Nigeria was inaugurated on October 10, 2019 at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos, alongside its maiden conference themed: “Does Legal History Matter?”
Legal History Society of Nigeria was set up to encourage the study and advance the knowledge of the history of Nigerian law. It is a body dedicated to preserving the legal history of the country in such a manner that it could be easily retrieved when needed.
Kenna Partners is proud to have supported the inauguration of the Legal History Society of Nigeria. Indeed, a proper documentation of Nigeria’s legal history is needed. This will help show the nexus between laws and society, laws and religion, as well as laws and politics. A structure for the now that ultimately translates into direction for the future.
